Write for PIC

Want to have your comedy published? Send up to 3 of your best articles to court@pointsincase.com.

Be sure to tell us a little bit about yourself, where you go (or went) to school, and attach your articles as Word documents.

Things that will increase the chances of having your article published:

- Original topics (or at least new spins on stuff)
- Strong first paragraph (this will show up on the front page)
- Proofread/polished articles
- Catchy, relevant titles
- Emerging from a cloud of fog under a strobe light

Your article doesn't have to be about alcohol or sex to be appealing to us; we're very open to creative writing, "boring" topics made interesting, edgy or controversial material, satire/parodies, and other offbeat ideas you won't find in your campus newspaper. (And in case you were wondering, it's okay to use profanity, drug references, or whatever else you were worried about.) If you submit a guide or "how to" piece, try to make it as funny as it is helpful. We're looking for writing with personality—articles that demonstrate a smart, unique style. But of course, the main goal is to arouse laughter from your audience, however you can best accomplish that.
